Hi! I'm Ricard – "Like Richard, without the h" – That's what I say when people ask me to spell it on the phone.
I am an independent creative director. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work.

EXPERIENCE

Until April 2023, I was running MullenLowe NY, focusing on turning a traditional agency into a more modern, disruptive, integrated, multicultural and inclusive creative collective. I worked for clients such as E*Trade, Unilever, Bayer, Edgewell, Merz, Banner Health, etc.

Previously I was Executive Creative Director at TBWA/CHIAT/DAY in New York, working across brands such as Adidas, Accenture, Meta or Pepsico.

I started working in the fashion industry in Milan. Since then, I've worked at agencies such as EURO RSCG Madrid, Armando Testa and Y&R Milan as an Art Director, and then as an Associate Creative Director at DDB Europe (based in Milan - with periods in London and Berlin), JWT Milan, BBDO SF, Eleven and Ogilvy & Mather New York where I oversaw all creative for Samsung global.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working for great clients and my work has been recognized at all the major award shows worldwide, including Cannes Lions Grand Prix, 3 One Show Best of Category and One Show Best of Show awards. The Refugee Nation project is also in the permanent collection at the MOMA and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. It has also been part of the 57th Biennale di Venezia. Many of my campaigns have earned huge amount of free coverage by specialist and generalist media, from online outlets to well known mainstream titles.

I have been a judge at The One Show, The Webby Awards, El Sol and The New York Festivals. I also have been part of different student mentoring programs at Miami Ad School, The One Show and The New York City College. I also have been member of the Design Thinking Advisory Board at Rutgers University.

I love my job. I love it when it's all about the idea, about the craft, which I believe is as important as the idea itself. It's the smallest nuance that makes a big difference. I love people with passion, with dedication, people that have fun working together. It may sound cheesy but I do believe you can't make good stuff without fun. This body of work is the result of a constant collaboration with the talented an enthusiastic people I had the pleasure to work with. And, of course, it was made possible by brave and demanding clients that believed in these ideas and trusted us to make them happen.
